Featured Activity Idea: Letter Writing

Before receiving a toy—or while selecting one—children are invited to reflect and connect through a simple, heart-led act: writing a letter.

This short activity invites kids to do one of the following:

  • Write a note answering: If you could have a superpower to help people, what would it be?

  • Write a letter to a friend or sibling, choosing a toy for them as an act of kindness

  • Share a dream, a wish, or a drawing of what makes them happy

These heartfelt letters spark:

  • Emotional expression and reflection

  • A sense of value and voice

  • An opportunity to practice generosity and empathy

The Play It Forward Experience is a movement to create memorable moments for children and families. Whether for a major event or an intimate gathering, our Facilitator Guide provides resources to foster joy, connection, and healing through play.

We seek partners to transform toy distribution into unforgettable experiences that include:

•Joyful Play – Creative ways to inspire laughter, imagination, and learning

•Meaningful Impact – Activities that encourage confidence and emotional growth

•Thoughtful Delivery – A personal, intentional, child-centered

What We’re Looking For

We’re not just distributing toys—we’re delivering transformation. We want to partner with organizations that:

Unite volunteers, donors, and neighbors around moments that matter.

To be eligible, your organization must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, civic agency, or community group

  • Serve 1,000+ children

  • Handle toy logistics (including pick up) and distribution

  • Offer an experience that sparks joy and positive moments

  • Committed to fulfilling impact reporting

  • Be passionate about nurturing youth and families

Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until our toy inventory is distributed into the community.
